073: 2013 Gift Guide – Pt. 1

Well hello there fine chaps! It seems it is that fine time of year again when we all start gearing up for the holidays. The parties are planned and scheduled, good times are shared, and goodfaith compromises are made on how much weight gain is acceptable between Thanksgiving and Jan 2nd. For most people it’s also a time of exchanging gifts, and in case any of you are looking for a little inspiration we’re here to prep you before you find yourself wandering the mall on Dec 17th in a spiked-eggnog fueled daze with no idea what to get anyone except your self. Also, don’t forget my birthday falls conveniently halfway between now and the old 25th of December so anything you want to pop in the mail is up to you. Follow the jump to see what’s in store.

028: Tuesday Breakdown For 01.22.13

Sorry for the delay, I was too busy gorging on 4 Rivers BBQ. Mmmmmm. Be jealous.

1. Wedgie? I Hardly Know Ye.

In another case of startling misuse of law enforcement a man from Bradenton, FL was arrested for battery after he was accused of, you guessed it, giving another man a wedgie. Now, you might feel bad for this young man until you realize he is not but a wastrel as he was actually filming his wedgie escapades so he could profit from them by posting the film to Youtube. All good things to those who wait.

2. Nosewalker

Do you like to longboard? Are you sure? Have no idea what longboarding is? Either way, watch the first 3:40 of this video and you’ll walk away hating it.

3. The 20th Anniversary of 1993.

Who knew that 1993 was one of, if not the most important year in Rap music. NPR started off a long series of in depth looks at the music made that year and the culture that created it and was created from it. You can find the first episode “The Chronic” 20 Years Later: An Audio Document of The L.A. Riots online for free.

4. The Power Of T.

The Art Of Manliness has long been a source of knowledge and inspiration for me, but this week has featured some of the most truly informative pieces they’ve ever published. All week the site’s author Brett McKay has been running a series about testosterone and men based on his own insight and experiences. I cannot recommend these pieces enough, especially for young men but also for all men as well as significant others and spouses. Start with the first piece on The Declining Virility Of Men and The Importance of T¬†and then work your way through the others Benefits of Optimal T, How Testosterone Is Made, and How To Increase Testosterone Naturally.
